DAVE KERSHAW
8th Dan
Sensei Dave Kershaw is a former senior
Shotokan Karate International European Federation (SKIEF) instructor,
with 50 years karate experience. He was one of
Hanshi Shiro Asano's most senior students in Great Britain, and in
August 2011 became only the second karate-ka in the world to be graded to Nanadan (7th Dan black
belt) by Hanshi Asano
9th dan. In June 2019 he was awarded his Hachidan (8th dan black belt)
by KSI / ISKS.
He has also trained extensively with Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th
dan.
A professional karate instructor for over 40 years, he has taught
at many dojo's throughout the U.K. and abroad.
He was
a record six times consecutive S.K.I. British Kata Champion
and has represented Great Britain at many European and World
Championships, reaching the Men's kumite finals in the 1991 S.K.I.F.
World Championship, Mexico City.
He is also
a fully qualified International Referee.

in
Gt. Britain or Abroad.
